Build the List of Web 2.0 Websites
Welcome to Web 2.0 Reviews.
I'd like to start my journey by introducing yesterday's project - www.myweb20list.com
I spent 15 hours straight. Built the Categorized List of well over 200 Web 2.0 URLS, the 390 pages of the directory website, set up the email subscriber form, included LastRSS, a nice PHP randomizer script, the AddtoBookmarks script, google analytics and the handy thumbshots.org script - then I installed the latest wordpress blog, set up the template and widgets, entered categories to match the database and many more tidy-up activities.
Last night before I hit the sauna - the site was ready enough for launch, that I was ready to start the experiment.
I did a search for my keyword phrase - gosh - there are 22 million sites competing!
So I did a search for my keyword phrase in quotes... OK - I'm still nowhere, of course, because there are no links to my new site yet.
Then I posted about a 200 word article to my account at www.scribd.com - and I went for a sauna.
WHEN I returned one hour later - I refreshed the search page - and there I was! Number One in Google. It's a nice, fast beginning to a brand new project and domain that is not yet 24 hours old!!
Next post - the begining. I will now spend my quite holiday hours registering and reviewing various Web 2.0 Sites that match my personal goals. There will be many sites that I won't take the time to review - and I need your help.
If you know of a great Web 2.0 site, or want to submit a review or testimonial for any of the sites listed in www.myweb20list.com - please add your Web 2.0 Site to the List
